Unpack Your Things Intelligently - Three Things to Consider
Published on Sunday, 13 December 2009
The task of unpacking and arranging things in a new
home after moving is a very tedious task. Unpacking can be done very easily by planning intelligently.
* Place the boxes where they belong
After unloading the boxes from the truck, place the boxes in right rooms. This will save time whilst unpacking and arranging items.
* Arrange one room at a time
Make a plan for arranging the furniture and other huge items. Before opening the boxes, arrange furniture as per the plan. Spread the beds and cover them with linens to protect beds from dust. Now, open the boxes with essential items. Unpack bathroom boxes with shower curtains, towels, bath needs and items that go into the medicine cabinet. Next, unpack boxes with kitchen items such as pots and plates. If you have kids, unpack toy boxes and make them available for the kid to play. This will you give time to arrange the new home. If you have pets, do not forget to satisfy their needs.
* Unpack garage items at the end
After the entire house is organised, start arranging the garage, patio and other least essential items of the house. If you are tired, keep them aside and get it done whenever you have time.
Take the help of family members in organising household items to make the new house look familiar and comfortable and resume back to regular routine at the earliest possible.
