Should You Move during Holidays or after School Terms?

When is the best time to move, during holidays or after school terms? This is one of the most important decisions families have to make and many have divided opinions. If you are one of the lucky ones who have a flexible schedule, you can consider these factors in choosing the best schedule for your move. School Calendar
Summer is the most ideal time to move, especially if you have children at home. The advantage of moving at this time is that children are out of school so their studies will not be interrupted.
When scheduling a move, be sure to allow a few weeks at the new location for children to unpack and meet new friends. This way, they won't feel uncomfortable with their new school once the school year starts.
Holidays
Holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving means time for get-togethers. If you will schedule a move during these seasons, your family may feel a bit out of place. Therefore, try to avoid these dates when considering a date for a move. Same thing goes with anniversaries, birthdays and other family events.
It is best to schedule moves immediately after a major holiday or special occasion. Holidays and birthdays can be a perfect opportunity to bid your friends and family goodbye.
