Pointers to Ensure the Safety of Packed Boxes for Shipping

Published on Monday, 22 March 2010

Have you experienced the frustration brought by seeing your ordered item damaged and broken inside of its packaged box? If you did, you surely do not want to experience this kind of disappointment anymore. So if you are planning to move to a distant place, you need to make sure that your items, especially the delicate ones, will be packed properly before they are shipped since broken and damaged items are caused by improper packing procedure.

When packing each of your delicate items, make sure to place it in a box wherein it cannot be moved inside. If it has extended parts, make sure to eliminate the possible pressure points on those parts. The extended parts are the first ones that you should note in your fragile item when packing it. There should be no protruding parts to avoid breakage and migration while the box is being transported. Through this, damage is less likely to occur.

To further secure the safety of your delicate item, you are advised to follow the box-inside-a-box method. This will ensure the stability of your item inside the box. Your item will be more secured if you fill the first box with many peanuts to keep the item tight enough while being transported. The use of other cushioning materials such as bubble wrap and tissue is also helpful to keep the item immobilized all throughout the travel.
