Packing Your Breakables while on the Move

Packing Your Breakables while on the Move Your breakable objects are probably the most difficult things to store and pack when you're going on a move. Good packing should be able to withstand not only the storage itself, but also the handing and transport during the whole moving process. Especially with china and expensive glasses, good packing is a must. The best material to use for packing breakables is bubble wrap. Each piece of glass or china should be wrapped individually with newspaper and bubble wrap to make sure that there is enough cushioning. Plates and china are pretty much straightforward simply pile them on top of each other until the box is full, and then secure the sides and gaps with packing peanuts. For regular plates, newspaper and cardboard wrappings will suffice, but you really have to use bubble wrap for extra expensive china. You can also opt to have the sides lines with Styrofoam for extra protection. When it comes to glasses, place each glass in bubble wrap and set them upright until you fill the bottom row of your box, then put a covering of bubble wrap and cardboard over it and repeat the process. It is also advisable to use smaller, handier boxes for packing breakables, as large boxes are unwieldy and may suffer more stress than a smaller box. You may opt though, to have several small boxes fit inside a bigger box. MORE NEWS AND TIPS
