Packing Small and Large Items? No Problem!
Published on Thursday, 08 October 2009

Packing Small and Large Items? No Problem! You surely don't want to arrive in your new house with crack plates, chipped beddings, and damaged furniture. The key to that is the right packing. And you can do the right packing as long as you know how to handle different packing needs of various items like small and large items.   1. Packing Large Items   ·       When packing bed frames, simply disassemble them if possible and tie them together using a rope or a packing tape.   ·       You can fill the cabinet drawer with clothes or books before covering the cabinet with a blanket or furniture pads. Just make sure to securely put a rope around the item after covering it up.   ·       Disassemble the dining table or any table in the house. Put each set of bolts of each table in a small plastic bag and tape it under the table top.   ·       Totally clean the refrigerator before packing it in its original box. You should also use the original packaging for television, computers, and electronics.   2. Packing Small Items   ·       Wrap kitchen dishes individually with used newspapers or bubble wraps.   ·       Stack pans and pots after wrapping them with old newspapers.   ·       Fragile collectible items like figurines should be wrapped around individually with a bubble wrap and securing them with a tape.   ·       Put books in small cartons. Make sure that the bindings are alternating and each box with books should only be under 30 pounds.   Small or large items are never your packing problem as long as you know how to pack them the right way.
