Make sure to have all the materials you need in cleaning.
Put all your cleaning materials and supplies in one box and tagged them as ?DO NOT MOVE.? Do not forget to mark this box because you would not want to include this box to be moved to your new house when you need them cleaning your old house before you leave it behind.
Always start in one room. Do not leave and go to the next room, unless the first room you cleaned is clean already. If you will do this, it will be easier for you to clean the whole house part by part because you will see the areas you have cleaned already. You will have the sense of accomplishments.
Make sure to put toilets, sink, and floor at the bottom of your list to clean. If you prioritize this, you will have to clean them again when you leave.
Start cleaning the second floor of your house going down.
You do not make your carpet clean and shiny as if it was new when it is really old. You can use baking soda in cleaning your carpet to remove the stinky smell, especially if you have pets.
Do not forget to bleach your bathroom just to leave a good impression to the people who will see your house.
