Important Practical Pack Tips You Should Know
Published on Monday, 04 April 2011
Packing could be tedious. But you should do it systematically with unpacking in mind. For one, all boxes should be labeled so you or the movers will immediately know where each box is supposed to go. The labels should be big and easily seen. You can also assign colors for each room for immediate identification. There should also be an inventory so you will know what is inside each box. Doing these things make unpacking easier later on.When packing electrical appliances, it would better if you could take photos of the cords while they are still connected to the appliances. Then you should label them as well when you would know which cord is for the specific appliance. You should also put them in the same box.
If you are going to dismantle the tables and other furniture, tape the screws and other small items with the major parts of the furniture. Again, this would allow you to set them up faster and more conveniently when you get to your new home.
A weighing scale would also come handy while packing. This would allow you to gauge whether the boxes are already too heavy or not. When you move, you should count all the boxes so you would know whether all boxes have already been unloaded and accounted for.
