How to Do Removals with Pets
Published on Thursday, 10 September 2009
Pets are usually well-loved by their owners. However, during a move many people have so many things to do that they tend to forget or neglect the needs of their pets.
Before the Moving Day
The care of your pets on the moving day should be planned beforehand. This means that you should already assign their care to other family members. This way you can be sure that your pets will not go hungry or feel neglected.
What others do though is hand this task to professional pet services. While this cost extra money, you will also be sure that your pets get the care they deserve. With professional care, your pets will have the utmost caring for sure. Some even do door to door service so this is usually the most convenient option for people who will be very busy during the moving day.
During the Trip
If you choose to bring your pet with you on your road trip, you have to take extra precautions. For one, feeding them a few hours prior to your trip is not advised. Instead you should only feed them once a day during the trip.
It would be a good idea to put your pets inside a cage as long as they will get enough ventilation and enough room to stand up and to turn around. Just make sure also that they get a toy to keep them occupied and to make them feel safe. If you have to leave them inside the car, make sure that they will not be in extremely high or low temperatures.
With these tips, your dog would more or less be more comfortable and less stressed during the trip. You will then also least likely encounter any problem with them.
